The Department of Cyber Security at SRM Valliammai Engineering College was established to meet the rapidly growing global demand for cybersecurity professionals. With a well-structured curriculum tailored to current industry needs, the department equips students with the essential knowledge and skills to thrive in the dynamic field of cyber security.
The Whitehatians Club, the official technical club under the department, aims to create a platform for students to explore and expand their expertise in cyber security. It encourages collaboration among like-minded peers and provides opportunities for hands-on learning, interaction with industry experts, and preparation for real-world challenges.
The club has successfully organized major technical events, including 24-hour hackathons, state-level Capture the Flag (CTF) and Workshops competitions. With a commitment to continuous learning and innovation, the club is set to conduct even more impactful events in the future, fostering a strong cybersecurity culture among students.
